Aside from the fact that it can help you loosen your weight, Eating less could be one defining factor for human to extend our lives.
A 20-year long study that were conducted on Rhesus monkeys revealed that those who cut their calorie intake by mere 30% slowed down the process of ageing and had lived longer than those monkeys who ate more. Those monkeys who have undergone this kind of dieting had less cancerous tumors, heart diseases and less brain shrinkage. They also appear more fresh and younger as compare to those non-dieting monkeys.
It has been said by scientists before that eating less over time proved a much longer life for primitive creatures such as worms, flies and mice. Now this recent breakthrough study unveils the question for us humans. What about us? Could a low calorie diet help us prevent some diseases and prolong our life too?
Scientist aren’t sure just yet but those evidence they gathered are pretty convincing. If this turned out to be real, can you really take 30% calorie for the rest of your life?
