It seems strange to say that stress can have an effect on your diet and your weight, chocolate cake would probably be a more obvious problem! When we get stressed then we all have our own way of dealing with that, however the most common way of coping is to gorge on nice tasting food to try and cheer ourselves up. That’s why you hear about people eating a whole tub of ice cream when they break up from their partner, in fact I have read that eating junkfood can be as addictive as taking drugs, our minds crave more and more.
Which means if you want to successfully lose weight then you need to keep an eye on your mood and try to stop yourself getting into situations that will stress you out. That is a lot harder than it sounds though, at work you are stuck with the same annoying co-workers, the same boss and the same workload, and at home then your kids will still drive you crazy.
To increases your chances of success then you need an easy diet to follow like a meal replacement diet, read this Medifast Diet review for more information on those types of diets. Then you need to find some way to stop yourself getting too stressed out, you can’t completely avoid stress as often it is just a part of our day, but you need to find a way to deal with it.
Most of the time we let stress build up and we don’t do anything to release the frustration that we feel. Unfortunately that means your muscles will be tensed up, leading to aches and pains and fatigue, plus you don’t get any mental break from the stress either. Exercise is a great way to stretch your muscles and release that pent up stress, particularly if you get to channel your stress into an opponent or a ball! Even gold is a great form of exercise to relax you, hitting that ball allows you to channel all your anger into the swing, and the gentle walking combined with the golf swing will relax you and your muscles.
Yoga is something else which can help you to stretch your muscles and relieve any tension you have been storing up, plus at the same time you are making yourself more flexible and toning your body so it is a win-win situation! It is important you find something to release the stress with though, just sitting on the couch stewing over your day while you watch TV is not going to do anything but make it worse.
