The Truth about Acai Berry

If you really are serious into reducing your own weight, I’m pretty sure that you have already gone into the malls, market or in the internet to look for the best supplement for your diet plans. One has caught my attention and likely that you have noticed it too. This was all about ACAI BERRY.
What is Acai Berry?
The acai berry (pronounced “ah-sigh-ee”) is a small grape-sized berry that grows in the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil. Natives of the region have harvested this berry as part of their diet for hundreds of years.

- Replenish the skin and reduce aging
Alongside its natural weight loss qualities, Acai Berry supplements can also help users to experience improved digestive functions and circulation; a healthier heart and cholesterol levels, plus has been linked to the prevention of cancer.

Are Acai Berry supplements safe?
To a degree they are. The only disputable factor about this supplement is the fact that a number of recent studies have found that all Acai’s medical claims are contradictory and wrong.
Take for example their statement that the anti-oxidants in Acai Berry can help reduce aging, prevent cancer and lower heart problems. In studies done by the University College of London, the John Hopkins School of Medicine and Copenhagen researchers, every one of these claims has been found to be false and in truth can cause the opposite effect.
- University College of London: found there was no proof that anti-oxidants prevented aging
- John Hopkins school of Medicine: 4% of subjects who took high dosages of Vitamin E were at a higher risk of dying, whilst 13% had an increased chance of experiencing heart failure.
- Copenhagen Researchers: 6% of subjects who took high dosages of Vitamin A, C and E were found to be at a higher risk of developing colon, liver and pancreatic cancer.
With statistics like these it is hard to trust this supplement. Especially when all its possible health problems are directly comparable to its benefits. They all seem to tell the opposite story.
